KORA is a two- or four-row potato planter designed for small and medium farms. It has a number of optional extensions that increase its functionality, such as a fertilizer underseeder, a hydraulically lifted tank, or platforms for planting sprouted potatoes.

planting precision and modern solutions

  • KORA 2 | KORA 4
    A two- or four-row potato planter designed for planting un-sprouted and sprouted potatoes in soils with moisture up to 16%. Row width 70cm or 75cm.
  • KORA 2W | KORA 4W
    A two- or four-row planter equipped with a rear platform and a side platform designed for boxes of seed potatoes. It is recommended to use boxes with a movable bottom, thus minimizing the damage to the shoots. These versions are also equipped with vibration panels reducing the damage to the planted tubers. Row width 75cm.
  • KORA 4H
    A four-row planter equipped with a large tank for seed potatoes, hydraulically lifted with a load capacity of 1200kg.

Elements ensuring planting precision

  • Belt tensioner system, shaker
    The shaking belts ensure individual planting of seed potatoes. The tensioner system maintains the stability of the shaker’s operation.
  • Shovels
    They ensure the collection of single seed potatoes calibrated from 35 to 60 mm. Optionally, there is the possibility to equip shovels with inserts for large or small potatoes.

  • Suspended disc shaping system
    The positioning of the hilling discs allows adjustment of their angle and distance from each other. By appropriately spacing the hilling discs, we achieve different shapes of ridges and different heights of soil covering the potatoes. Planted seed potatoes should be covered with a layer of soil 6-12 cm thick. It must be remembered that too narrow positioning of the disc cuts causes the lifting and movement of seed potatoes, which risks pulling the seed potatoes through the teeth of the weeder.

Density Adjustment and planting precision

  • Planting density
    A simple mechanical system by which we set the required spacing of seed potatoes (planting density) is achieved by selecting the appropriate chain gear ratio.
  • Dispensing gaps
    One of the essential factors affecting planting quality is the number of seed potatoes in the planting chamber. Seed potatoes are taken from this chamber by shovels. If the gap is too small, it can lead to passes, while if it’s too large, it can cause damage to the seed potatoes.

Bulk fertilizer underseeder

  • Bulk fertilizer underseeder 
    KORA 2, KORA 4 can optionally be equipped with a bulk fertilizer underseeder. The tanks made of plastic have a capacity of 100 liters and are equipped with small seeding devices, which are adjusted by moving the roller. The maximum fertilizer dose is 580 kg/ha. The fertilizer is supplied to the working rows that plant the seed potatoes through flexible hoses. The fertilizer is sown in a broadcast manner. Row fertilization allows increasing work efficiency (one pass) and increasing the potato yield (better fertilizer utilization by plants).
