RCW HELIX
The RCW HELIX spreader, equipped with a bar for precise spreading of powder fertilizers. Powdered lime is gaining popularity due to its high reactivity, quick action, and attractive purchase prices. In particular, lime delivered by tankers is characterized by low cost, as well as convenience and speed of loading. However, spreading powdered lime in the field requires specialized solutions. The specific structure of the fertilizer necessitates its distribution over the field surface in such a way as to prevent it from being blown away by the wind. The RCW HELIX spreader is the answer to the demands of large farms and companies providing agricultural services where powdered lime is used.
Precise system of spreading
- Spreading bar
The spreading bar is a key element of the HELIX spreader adapted for the spreading of powdered lime. The hydraulically powered augers run at a speed of about 160 rpm, distributing the fertilizer evenly across the entire working width (9 or 12 m). - Distribution control
Adjustable dosing valves allow the set amount of fertilizer to be laid down so that its distribution is even across the entire working width. - Valves (left/right)
Independent control of the valves allows for fertilizer spreading across half the working width to reduce overlaps. During one-sided spreading, the inactive spreading bar can be folded to the transport position. - Hydraulic drive
The hydraulic conveyor drive provides great flexibility in adjusting the spreading dose.
Work safety and protection
- Suspension of the bar
The bar consists of two parts, which can be folded hydraulically independently of each other. To safely execute corners, it is possible to lift the arms of the bar to the “V” position without folding it for transport. - Protective curtains
The curtains limit dusting and the loss of fertilizer due to wind. During transport, they can be rolled up and secured with an expander. - Cover
The box cover is standard equipment for RCW HELIX spreaders. It prevents fertilizer dusting and protects the contents of the box from moisture.

- Large tank
A fertilizer tank with a capacity of 15,000 liters is adapted for loading powdered fertilizers with a focus on tightness. - Loading valve
Hydrant connections are used for rapid pneumatic loading of powdered fertilizers directly from the tanker. One of them redirects the fertilizer to the front part of the box, the other – to the rear. - Tandem chassis
The tandem suspension type Boogie allows the weight to be spread over a larger area, reducing soil compaction. Additionally, the rear axle of the spreader is a steered axle, which stabilizes the operation of the bar. - Spring-loaded drawbar
The drawbar, amortized with a longitudinal spring, reduces the loads transferred to the tractor hitch. This increases the comfort of working with the machine, especially on uneven terrain.
